The first references to this wine go back to the XVIII century; it is made from REFOSCO with red grape-stalks variety, which is called CAGNINA. The grapes are harvested around the end of September and then the vinification process begins; the wine is bottled in the first decade of November. It has a sweet taste, an intense fragrance that reminds morello and rasperry and its colour is deep ruby-red with violet tints. It is excelent with chestnuts and strawberries. |
